DESCRIPTION:Keeping you at the forefront of the floral industry with Professional Development! \n\n\n\nGLFA Education Center Presents\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n“Upscale Artisan Terraria for Profit!“\n\n\n\na Hands – On Workshop/Open House\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nDon’t miss this chance to learn\, network and share experience with industry peers! This event is open to all industry members. The hands-on workshop is available to the first 20 people who register. Cost to participate in the workshop is $50 for GLFA members and $80 for non-members. Everyone is welcome to watch the workshop. A light meal will be provided for all attendees  \n\n\n\nIn this hands-on workshop\, you’ll learn the ins and outs of creating upscale terrariums that can be premade for sale or supplied for workshops of your own. These luxury terrarium types are appropriate for homes\, sympathy services\, upscale corporate gifts and more! You’ll also learn proper terrarium building skills using appropriate tools and media\, and maintenance for long-term success.  \n\n\n\n6:00 – 6:30 (workshop check in\, networking) \n\n\n\n6:30 – 7:30 (workshop) \n\n\n\n7:30 – 8:00 (networking\, wrap up) \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCOST: $50.00 member $80.00 non-member (All attendees are welcome to watch the workshop)Class enrollment is limited to 20REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON – REFUNDABLE! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor: Derek Woodruff AAF\, AIFD\, CFD\, CF\, PFCI joined the floral industry at the age of 16 where he began learning floral design in vocational school and working for a local florist. Since then\, he as continued to study the trade through institutes such as Michigan State University\, the Great Lakes Floral Association (GLFA)\, and the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD). In 2008 he launched his own business\, Floral Underground. Derek is a captivating speaker who specializes in “today’s consumer” connecting and engaging them through different types of media including demonstrations\, subscription services and hands-on workshops with both plants and flowers. In addition to being an educator\, Derek is considered a “National Floral Design Champion” spending many years polishing the practice of live floral design competition.
